24 June 2024 : A delegation of Jharkhand state BJP led by Shri Amar Kumar Bauri, Leader of Opposition, Jharkhand Assembly met Hon’ble Governor at Raj Bhavan.

24 June 2024: A delegation of Jharkhand BJP led by Leader of Opposition, Jharkhand Legislative Assembly, Shri Amar Kumar Bauri met Hon’ble Governor Shri C.P. Radhakrishnan at Raj Bhavan and submitted a memorandum related to various demands, mentioning the incident of disturbance on the day of Bakrid on 17 June 2024 in Gopinathpur village under Pakur district.

Through the memorandum, the delegation requested to immediately establish a permanent police picket in Gopinathpur village and deploy central police force, conduct a high-level judicial inquiry into the Gopinathpur incident and take action against the culprits, provide immediate compensation for the loss suffered by the villagers there and take initiative to take action in this direction so that such incident does not recur in the state. The delegation requested to immediately provide concrete houses, drinking water facilities, electricity and establish a school for the education of children to the villagers there and identify and take action against the persons selling banned meat in the entire state. Apart from Leader of Opposition, Jharkhand Legislative Assembly, Mr. Amar Kumar Bauri, Legislative Assembly members Mr. Naveen Jaiswal, Mr. Bhanu Pratap Shahi, Mr. Randhir Kumar Singh and Mr. Amit Mandal were present in the delegation.
