18 March 2024: Hon’ble Governor interacted with the faculty members of National Defense College, New Delhi.
Hon’ble Governor Shri C.P. Radhakrishnan, while interacting with the team members of the Faculty & Course Members of National Defense College, New Delhi, who had come to study ‘Economic Security’ in Jharkhand state under the ‘National Security and Strategic Studies’ course at Raj Bhavan, said that both security and economic security are important for development. At present, our country is the fifth largest economy in the world. He said that I have visited various countries. He said that National Defense College, New Delhi has a glorious history. He said that he is interested in establishing Jharkhand Defense University established in the state as a Sainik University.
The Governor said that Jharkhand state was formed on 15 November, 2000 by separating it from Bihar and when this bill was tabled in the Parliament, he was a Lok Sabha MP and he had the privilege of casting his vote on it. The Governor said that there are immense possibilities for the development of tourism here. Many places here attract tourists. Jharkhand state has many talents in the field of sports. Mahendra Singh Dhoni, under whose leadership India won the World Cup in 2011, hails from here. Jharkhand is called the ‘land of archery’. Many daughters of this state are making the country and Jharkhand proud by giving their best performance in hockey. Members of the ‘Course Members’ team present on the occasion expressed their views.
