17 March 2024: Hon’ble Governor addresses the Annual Ceremony-2024 organized by Ranchi Chapter of Cost Accountant, ICMA.
Hon’ble Governor Shri C.P. Radhakrishnan while addressing the Annual Ceremony-2024 organized by Ranchi Chapter of Cost Accountant, ICMA on the topic “Cost Accountants- The Force Behind India’s Emergence as Third Largest Economy” at Gossner College, Club Road, Ranchi said that the economy of our country is one of the fastest growing economies in the world, whose goal is to achieve “Developed India @ 2047”. At present, the economy of our country is the fifth largest economy in the world and is rapidly moving towards becoming the third largest economy. He said that the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI) has a glorious history and it has 90 thousand members and 5 lakh students. These students have an important responsibility to accelerate the economy of the country.
The Governor said that CAs have an important contribution in taking the country’s economy forward. He said that Jharkhand state is full of mineral wealth, but we are at the second position from the bottom. Our CAs should seriously discuss for the economic development of Jharkhand state. The Governor said that CAs have played an important role in the successful implementation of GST. He said that the field of CAs is vast. Their role in tax collection is important. He said that it is a matter of happiness that the number of taxpayers has increased in our country.
