11 April 2024: Hon’ble Governor extended his heartfelt greetings on the occasion of Sarhul festival at Ranchi University.
Governor Shri C.P. Radhakrishnan, while extending his hearty greetings to all the people of the state on the occasion of ‘Sarhul Mahotsav’ organized by the Tribal Regional and Language Department, Ranchi University, said that man and nature have a mutually dependent relationship. The real meaning of Sarhul is to worship trees and nature. This festival contains the message that without nature, mankind has no experience.
Governor Shri Sar said that Sarhul is one of the important festivals of our state, which is also celebrated with great enthusiasm in other countries on a large scale. This festival is not limited to the tribal community, people of all communities celebrate it with absolute majority. This festival further indicates the feeling of collective brotherhood among all. He said that Sarhul gives the message of protecting nature to mankind. Today, when the whole world is facing the challenge of globalization, the message of a festival like Sarhul is very meaningful. He congratulated and wished everyone on the upcoming festival ‘Ram Navami’.
